Thousands of people gained access to solar-electrified health clinics this year, and more than 8,600 families received safe solar lights to use at home! Solar truly is sparking sustainable change in hundreds of off-grid communities, impacting more than 1.3 million people!
Below is a message from one of the new mothers who delivered at a health clinic in her community solar-electrified by Let There Be Light International. She then returned home with a safe solar light to help with the care of her infant in her un-electrified home. Talk about sparking sustainable change!
With the support of our donors and in partnership with local organizations, LTBLI successfully electrified 6 frontline health clinics. Additionally, we launched our tenth (10th) Safe Births + Healthy Homes maternal and infant health clinic! It’s been a productive solar year!
Our solar projects also include donating solar lights to the Kisoro Elders Project and partnering with a palliative care pilot project in Uganda. Recognizing the power of energy to spark sustainable change and transform lives, we are working hard to leave no one behind in the energy transition.
